Archives for the month of: March, 2013

Happy Easter!!! I hope everyone is having a blessed day! I’m back to share my spread from week one of this year!

Week 1 full

 Week(s) of: January 1-January 13

I am running my weeks Monday- Sunday this year to keep my weekends together.

I’m keeping my “week per spread” format very loose this year. This is something I chose to do different from last year to take some of the stress off of me. Since I do not have any kids/am not married, some weeks I do not take enough pictures to fill 2 sides. My easy/stress-free fix?…Put two weeks on one spread. I am totally ok that my album will not be the same span of time per spread. In life, some weeks are busier than others so this feels natural to me.

Week 1 left

A few favorite details:

Loving the Sundrifter Printable Labels from Studio Calico in that first pocket. So useful to print them any time I need more.

The back of my title page’s confetti pocket. (Ignore that post-it on the other side…finishing my end page for 2012 still)

Printed on some vellum and put over a picture from shopping. Added sequins to the pocket.

January calendar I threw together in Silhouette Studio and printed out. You can download the software for free from their site!

Crazy about that wood “&” card from the Studio Calico project life kit, February edition. Kept it simple with some washi.

Created that “work it” wood circle using some American Crafts rub-ons and cheap wood chips from Hobby Lobby.

Week1 Full2

Included an insert on this spread using Simple Stories Snap 6×8 divided protectors. Loving this smaller size for just a few more pictures/journaling. Speaking of Simple Stories Snap…have you seen these stamps?!?! This feels necessary!

Another printed vellum card over a gym picture. More Studio Calico kit bits.

That pretty much sums up this spread! I love flipping back through this album to review this year so far! I can’t wait to see it when the whole year is complete!

I know, I know I’m a little late getting started on sharing these. However, I’m still pretty proud of myself for staying caught up so far this year. (Last year I was already unbearably behind by this time, more on that another day.) However, you know what they say, “better late than never”, right?!

I hope to get caught up on sharing these over the next couple of weeks. I also plan on mixing in a few tips I’ve found that have helped me TREMENDOUSLY this year, as well as sharing my process, organization, and how I compromised and salvaged my 2012 album from the miserable pits of unfinished projects.

I am really feeling obsessing over this project this year. I absolutely love the whole concept and process of documenting everyday life. I get enthusiastic about anything relating to Project Life…new products, free printable journaling cards, apps to keep track of it all, you name it.

So without further ado, here is my 2013 title page!

A few of my favorite details:
Lots of pink and aqua–one of my current favorite color combinations.

Still drooling over the Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic paper at the top.

A few silhouette cuts. Lots of washi. (Seriously, can that stuff be any more awesome?!)

A bit of stamping.

An instax of yours truly I found lying around. (I really ought to use that camera more often, it’s perfect for the little pockets and so much fun!)

Oh and slightly crazy about that little confetti filled, see-through pocket. Marking that one down for a repeat pocket later down the road. (The journaling you are seeing under the confetti is a card for week 1. I will show that in another post.)

Hope you enjoyed my first project life post for this year! I look forward to sharing more with you very soon! Come back and see me!

Well hello there! I thought I would kick off my little blog by telling you a little bit about myself. And since

  1. “about me” paragraphs bore me to death
  2.  I’m addicting to making lists
  3. I wanted an excuse to play in PSE with some new fonts

I thought I would make this a little more interesting by telling you 10 random facts about yours truly.

10-random-factsAnd because I love to share anything I am excited about, like the fonts I used for my image, I’ll share links to where you can download them for free!

numbers: Sullivan
Facts: Splendid 66
Title: Blanch

Two of the three fonts are from a site called Lost Type. If you want to download the font for free you will need to type a “0” in the price box and click download. Be sure to browse their other fonts as well. They are equally as amazing!

I will be using this blog as a place to share my projects including scrapbooking, Project Life, and other craft adventures, as well as other random bits I am currently loving. I hope you will check back in with me to see what I am up to! I also love to meet new people and would love to hear from you! I’d be delighted if you want to connect with me on Instagram, Pinterest, or Twitter! Leave a comment any time or email me at!
